Compulsory schooling: German or bilingual (German/English)

In Academia schools, children from kindergarten age to the end of compulsory schooling experience a close-knit yet cosmopolitan atmosphere, where they are treated as individuals and are able to develop as personalities. They are given full support throughout but are also encouraged to work intensively and expand their learning, subject knowledge and social skills.

We run four bilingual schools (German/English) in Basel, Küsnacht, Winterthur and Zurich and a German-speaking school in Reinach (BL). At all our schools, children are taught according to Lehrplan 21, and teaching at our bilingual schools also follows the Cambridge international curriculum. All our schools are recognised as private schools by the canton in which they are located.
